X5670 Extract from GWH. {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 1/Crn.23.8.25. Chassis 9-GIII. Dynamo. X.5670. x9962 We are having trouble with the dynamo failing temporarily. I tried it last night, and although the control brush seemed O.K., the dynamo would not function. I found that the cutout was not making contact, but when I made the contact, the dynamo functioned but there was excessive sparking at the control brush. I switched dynamo off, and then on; the same result happening again. The cutout appears to be O.K., the points are quite good, and all the brushes and connections appear to be good. After switching dynamo on once or twice, it started to function O.K. I should be much obliged if Mr. Clark would send along his opinion of the cause of this. | ||
