B V.{VIENNA}

1. Cracked Valve Seats.

The modifications to cure this do not involve any alteration to the cylinder head casting.

2. Gearbox

It was made clear at the Meeting that this gearbox is now passed for production, and whilst no actual endurance running has been effected it has been subjected to overload tests, and Experimental appear to have no doubt that the gearbox is fundamentally satisfactory. Nevertheless, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} considered that it was necessary to concentrate on testing this box intensively, and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} added that they could probably reproduce during 2000 miles special test the equivalent results of the 50,000 miles road test.
It was decided that Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} should give his whole time to B V.{VIENNA} now, with particular reference to the gearbox, and that the Wraith he has been using should be disposed of.
