3. Steering Wheel (contd)

the production of a cellulose acetate wheel is one of cost.

4. Cost - Carried forward to the next Meeting.

5. Performance

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} rather reversed EY's remark that it was not intended to incorporate the improvements that were at one time incorporated in 6-B-IV when S. tried it, by saying that most of these improvements had been incorporated in the B.V engine and they could not go beyond what had been done in those directions.

6. Drop Head Coupe

This is still at Park Ward's, but it was made clear that S. could now place their orders for Show bodies, and Park Ward should be instructed to incorporate any of the modifications which are being introduced on the sample.
We were assured by Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} that the cure had been effected, that there were two ways of doing it, one was by using a stabiliser, which it was hoped to avoid, and the other by stiffening up the dashboard and other detail changes to produce more rigidity, including the doors not being cut through so far down to the frame.

7. Bentley "Corniche".

The first of these cars goes to France about the end of this month. The number of bodies of this design to be ordered is now to be brought up to 6, and EY will stress the urgency of those that are needed for the Paris and London Motor Exhibitions, and those required for Trials Cars for Paris and London which should be available by the dates of the opening of the Shows, i.e. Paris 5th October and London 12th October.

A car of this type was inspected by members of the Conference, and with the exception of one or two detail modifications, chiefly concerning the rear doors and giving greater facility for entering the back part, and also a slight modification to the mouldings at the top of the rear doors, the car, so far as its line and appearance goes, met with general approval.
