We have been handed LE.13/C.26.10.38, addressed to yourself concerning the Hindovers Sedanca de Ville chassis WXA-19, the property of Lady Trent. Last week JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} telephoned to say that although the scuttle and dash on this car had been made solid, and also the two body brackets each side, counting back from the dash, there was a considerable amount of "jellying" in front. We suggested that a third body bracket from dash each side, and in the vicinity of the centre pillar, be made solid, and that he should then try the car, taking careful note of the improvement in the front end "jellying" for if any, and also the tyre noise. As he reports that the "jellying" was practically eliminated without increase in tyre noise, we suggest that our instructions already issued concerning the mounting of Wraith bodies with demountable tops should be modified in accordance with this experiment.
