(2) EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/HP. 30th January 1935. (4) The dash ventilation system for this car will be similar to that used on 31-EX with the exception that the top scuttle ventilator will be of necessity much smaller and the outlet on the side of the body will be by means of louvres in the scuttle, which will match those on the bonnet. A modified casting from the dash to the top scuttle ventilator will be made by ourselves, and in this case we will also make the outlet ducts to the side of the scuttle. To enable us to do this will you please send us a tracing showing plan and elevation of both the top scuttle ventilator and the top of the scuttle, together with operation, and also a tracing of the side of the scuttle showing the framing around the louvres. We have to send you as soon as possible particulars of the louvres on the bonnet. (5) The position of the instrument board relative to the screen need not be the same as on Phantom because the screen is farther away from the driver. We suggest that the board should be approximately the same distance from the bottom of the steering wheel as on Phantom. We have asked Derby to send you the Ecko wireless set which should be mounted in the instrument board in the position usually occupied by the cubby hole. | ||
