We were able to see the majority of the sections of this body which have now been built up. In a very short while the whole of the framework will be complete and ready for inspection. We have asked Messrs. Park Ward & Co. not to panel this body until we have had an opportunity of inspecting the framework. Experimental All-steel Bentley Body. We saw the full sized drawing of this body and were able to make certain adjustments to the shape, which we thought would constitute improvements. By lowering the roof line of the rear quarter and raising the waist line over the wheel arch .375", the size of the quarter was reduced materially. The back contour, position of the bumper and the luggage flap were to our schemes. Since the introduction of a dust proof lid{A. J. Lidsey} inside the luggage boot robs one of so much luggage space, we have suggested the deletion of this feature. With it the luggage space is so small that the only way to carry luggage would be with the flap down, in which case the dust door becomes redundant. We are going ahead with a design for the side spare wheel carrier moved forward 3 ins. There is nothing now holding Messrs.Park Ward & Co. from going ahead with this body as rapidly as possible.
