Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. No. 2 28th May, 1937 We are quite at a loss to understand the presence of small portions of cellulose in your filters, unless they have remained there from the old original pipes which you tested. In the construction of the tube we have just reported on it is impossible for any cellulose to flake off into the petrol stream, as we have inserted an inner lining of other material inside the cellulose. This lining was intact for the whole length of the tube, so it was therefore impossible for cellulose to have flaked from this particular tube. We enclose a short section of this tube herewith to illustrate our point. After considering this report, perhaps you will be good enough to let us have your further views. Yours faithfully, SUPERFLEXIT LIMITED. Wm. R Thomsoni Director. Encl. | ||
