87960. To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MJ.14.7.31. GLN-60. Will you please remove the head from this car and fit high lift rockers. At the same time will you please remove the Aluminium washer from under the cylinder block which will raise the compression ratio. The valves should be ground in while the head is off. We then want the S.U. Petrolift fitted to this car and the S.U. carburetter. It appears that ths controls for the S.U. will be exceedingly simple. If possible we should like to have the air silencer completed for the S.U. We also require a P.2 short type silencer and fishtail fitted to this car, as on 18-G4.
