Dear Sir,

I am in receipt of the axle which you modified for me and also of the bill for £3.4.9d.

I am most disappointed in the standard of silence in this axle and should like to know, if I settle the account now, whether you would be prepared to make it reasonably quiet at a later date.

Yours faithfully,
