(f) Leaks to be cured and unit tuned up before passing off.

WRAITH III NO.4.

Unit now in shop is being fitted with Hoyt's metal main bearings.

Low inertia type of camwheel, also Metalastik flexible dyno. coupling.

Torsional indicator shaft is being fitted on cam-wheel to check.

(a) With above camwheel check oscillations with 30 hardness coupling also 50 hardness coupling. Note whether any rattles either light or under full throttle low speed conditions.

(b) Repeat with std. high inertia camwheel. From the above tests we will decide which combination of above is left on to continue with further tests on induction systems.

No.5.

B.60 NO.2 UNIT.

The following programme to be carried out by the week-end as it is intended to start endurance on No.1 unit on Monday, 28th.

(1) Power curve, normal and 1/2 tooth late open exhaust. Repeat normal timing with two down-draught Stromberg carbs.

(2) Repeat with normal timing with standard B.II silencer. (Note top and bottom water °C.

(3) Take crankshaft oscillation tests. (J.Spooner).
