Brief Report and Remarks: Run a total of 28,800 miles over a period of 8 month, 21,400 miles in France and 7,400 miles in England satisfactorily on Phantom III car 35,EX. Production Position and Comments: Cost of Tools £: NIL. Aluminised mild steel expansion box and intermediate pipe replacing present staybrite shows a saving of £2.12.9d. per chassis and can be introduced without scrap at 101st Phantom III in 'D' series, no tool cost being involved. This saving is based on the assumption that the aluminising process will be carried out by outside contractors, but if adopted suitable equipment will be installed at these works and show a further saving of 5/- per chassis.
