II J.D.39. Positive plate. The horizontal bars of the positive plates grew & the separator being in close contact was pierced causing contact with the negative plate, this caused a leakage path & allowed sulphation to take place, this ultimately stretching the positive plates to such an extent as to buckle the plate, fracture the periphery & short on the negative strops. This arrangement of the separators does not seem to be satisfactory. The separators shew signs of being clogged where plates have been & in contact with each side of the separator. G.J. | ||
