Origin.
To keep out the mud.

C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis.

Experimental Test Report.
On the first Phantom cars to run in France a considerable amount of mud got into the gearbox undershield through the joint between the crank-case and the guard. The modified guard has a strip of felt to prevent this.

Road Test Report.
Run 14,000 miles on 8-EX is an improvement over the present standard LeC.2091.
