Description of Parts. 40/50 HP. AND 20 HP. CHASSIS. MATERIAL FOR VALVES.
Origin: To increase life.
Experimental Test Report.
Tests on aero engines have proved that Silchrome steel is a considerable improvement over our present steel.
Road Test Report.
Springfield have tested these valves on 40/50 HP. cars and find that they are an improvement. There is less wear with this material.

Agreed FHR I understand we have made tests which show decided improvement and that we are making further searching tests both in cars & on engines to prove that there is no other constituent in which the steel may fail, such as mechanical strength after repeated heating
