For the attention of C. Ward, Esq.,

Dear Sirs,

Re: Short Wheelbase Bentley - 1-B-5.

We were a little disturbed to find that the full size drawing for the above body and dummy chassis had not been completed when we called on you on Friday last, October 15th, especially as there has been no information lacking from us and no queries from yourselves.

We propose to call on you on Wednesday next, when we hope that the full-size drawing will be completed, and confirm that you will put in hand the rough material for the dummy chassis.

We take this opportunity of confirming January 7th 1938 as the new date of delivery, cancelling your original promise of 10 weeks from the completion of the full-size drawing, and hope that you will be able, if possible, to improve on this date.

We enclose herewith a print of F.CD.110 shewing the complete bonnet dimensions at 2.250 ins. behind the back of dash, and also a print of FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}31 shewing the petrol filler in the nearside wing.

The matter of the unsuitable design of hand brake to allow of a simple body bottom side is receiving the consideration of the Design Office, but this car will have to go on with the hand brake as already designed.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

CAR PROJECT OFFICE.
