PHANTOM II FLYWHEEL AND CLUTCH.

During the recent three weeks of comparatively damp weather, it has been noticed that all the bright smooth finished steel parts inside the Phantom II clutch pit have commenced to rust. It is difficult to see why this effect is so much more definitely pronounced on the Phantom II than the Phantom I or the 20 HP.

It is evident that all steel parts inside the clutch pit must be protected from corrosion by cadmium plating or some other means. For cars produced we could paint these parts.

There have been no mechanical failures as yet due to this corrosion, but it looks bad to find everything rusty when the clutch pit cover is removed.
