FAULTS REPORTED.
ATTENTION GIVEN.

Bentley Dynamo Drives. Rubber block failure.
The present harder and increased dia. rubber blocks appear to be giving satisfactory results.

Con rods failure. Reported 6 rods were changed in service when one rod failed, owing to keeping balance of engine correct.
The weight of rods are now stamped on No.1. A replacement now can be of the same weight, which will not affect balance. This applies to all cars.

Service recommendations for in-accessibility. Oil pump connection on bottom half of engine, oil leaks at flange could not be cured without dismantling lower half.
Studs replacing bolts to be incorporated in future production. ?

Oil Filter studs in lower half when knocked off necessitates dismantling lower half.

Disintegration of water pump fabric coupling.
Expt. Dept. looking into the job.

Shock damper control filler plug. Inaccessibility which causes damage when removing plug.
Hexagon head to be increased in height to give box spanner more support. Will be brought into reduction shortly.

Petrol and oil leaks where aluminium washers are used.
Copper asbestos washers are already in use on petrol pumps. Other parts of the chassis are to receive Ey's attention.

Failure of insulation of electrical wires in conduit on dashboard. The insulation being attacked by the paraffin when washing down.
Present 4 1/2 litre the lead for the petrol indicator has an oil and petrol resisting covering. It is recommended for the Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that a petrol and oil resisting sleeving should be fitted to those that give trouble.

Bentley Anti-rattle for pedals. Spring reported too small in dia. for size of hole in steel cup.
The modified design seems to be too complex and not necessary. Ey. is to go further into the design, meanwhile the spring dia. is to be increased.
