40 MM. GUN - PRODUCTION.

We attach a copy of the Minutes of a Meeting held at the British United Shoe Machine Company of Leicester on Tuesday, October 8th. 1940. on how Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd., should be reimbursed for the work they have done on the 40 mm. gun, in view of the fact that they do not wish to have any direct dealings with the Admiralty.

In addition to the information contained in these Minutes, we have also outlined the position with regard to the twenty-five sets of material which we are letting them have (See our note to Mr. Gimson, a copy of which we attach.)

We also confirm that it was agreed that we should withdraw our orders to the B. U. S. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} and that they should charge all the work they have done in connection with mountings and shields, to the production order which they have got from the Admiralty for mountings.
