From this report you will see that the trouble experienced right at the end of your 10,000 miles run was unusual and was not one that should be experienced again.

With regard to the Screen Wiper, we have been making some modifications to this following the results of your test, and unfortunately as yet we are not quite ready to let you have the wiper back again. Our Laboratory however are working on this and we will write you further concerning exactly when we may expect to return the wiper, in the course of a few posts.

Yours faithfully,
JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED.
ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT.

P.S. With regard to the suggestion that the speed of the wipe should be increased somewhat. Actually in the sample you had the speed was approx 28 cycles per minute and we should not ourselves put up the speed above this. It could of course be increased somewhat, the winding of the motor would have to be altered but we ourselves should consider the above figure quite high enough.
