X 120. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} HOY. PEREGRINE DASHBOARD. We have gone into the question of making the Peregrine dashboard into a pressing instead of a casting and send herewith N. scheme 3703. shewing the modifications proposed in order to effect this. The only important modification we have made from the pressing drawing originally submitted to us is that we have removed the lip around the outside contour. This is because we could not see a satisfactory way of attaching the rubber. It appeared to be difficult to get on, and badly held on one side. The advantage of the proposal as made is that should there be an alteration in the size of the dashboard at any time only the shearing dies are affected. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
