E.O.6. TYPE WATFORD MAGNETO WITH ENCLOSED ARMATURE TUNNELS.

Referring to the four special magnetos which have been sent to us by Messrs North, it appears to me that the best way to deal with these would be first of all for Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to try these out for quietness. If Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} agrees that they meet the necessities of the case from this point of view, then EFC. could have two of same and two others could be handed to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and moved from chassis to chassis for a short period of time to enable us to satisfy ourselves that they will not develop noise quickly, then if EFC. has no objections to raise I would suggest that they are despatched.

I would further suggest that a report is quickly prepared, now that there is no variation in the gears from our present practice, and we should agree between ourselves to adopt the modified proposal without further delay, other- wise I am afraid we shall obtain no benefit from the work done by Messrs Norths for months to come.
