This is to confirm the agreements reached between yourselves and the writer concerning the criticisms of 2.Pere.2. which you saw at Lillie Hall. (a) WIDTH OF BODY AT ELBOWS OF DRIVING SEAT. This dimension was 45.500ins. We normally use 46.500ins. It was agreed that on a smaller car some reduction must be made to the room although there is no reduction to the persons using the car. Those people in Derby who have driven the car about 15.000 miles when the point was raised said that they had not felt any inconvenience. HN.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} & the writer saw on a full sized drawing at Messrs Park Ward & Co. the affect of making the dimension in question 46.5ins and they agreed that it could not be done with the present width of bonnet at the rear. The meeting agreed that the batch of 20 bodies should be as the sample seen by Sales. (b) PETROL TANK FILLER HEIGHT. Instructions have been issued for this to be lowered as much as is consistent with its antispilling propensities, and the proximity of the wing. See separate memo. (c) ROAD WHEELS. In the opinion of the Expl. Dept the wheels as fitted to the car in question represent the universal wheel of the near future. It is suggested that one will grow to like and get used to the appearance. In order to see the appearance of discs on such wheels we are making up a set for Sales to see. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will discuss the whole issue with SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} when he is in Derby. (d) REAR APRON. The apron as seen on the car was temporary, the final apron with the luggage grid inside has to be shown to Sales. We have asked BY to change the louvres to finger grooves. (e) CURVE OF THE BACK PANEL. Messrs Park Ward & Co. have modified their drawing giving a back panel of the same curvature as on the latest 25.HP. stock saloons. (f) STEERING COLUMN & WHEEL POSITIONS. It has been agreed that one column angle with its adjustments will cover all types of coachwork. See separate memo. | ||
