X. 2242 S - SMITH TYPE 5S MOTOR FOR GOSHAWK II.

Owing to this motor being rather small electric-ally for the purpose in hand, it is suggested by our Design Dept. that as this motor is to be practically specially made in any case, we suggest to Messrs. Smith that it be made longer and suitable for an increased output.

Before, however, writing to the makers on this point, we would like to know whether you consider this desirable or whether the motor should be tried as it is, in spite of the output being on the small side, and the ratio 8.4 to 1 too high.
