X.4195. Re Armoured Cars - Hand Barring Gear.
-------------------------------------------

Please receive herewith two blue prints of "H" Scheme 623 shewing the hand gear at the rear end of the above gear. Please put details in hand. It will be observed that this portion of the gear is mounted on one of the angles set transversely across the car for carrying the armouring. We are not absolutely certain of the position of this angle, as its position, as shewn on our drawing of the armouring, is, we think, not sufficiently high to clear the gear box and starter motor shaft etc.,

What we suggest is, that this hand gear should be added to the coachbuilders drawing and sent to Cod Hutchinson for his approval of the position. It will be understood that the handle is detachable, and is meant to be taken away and put into the tool box.
