Ph.11 Five plate Stiffer Type Axle Springs
---------------------------------------

In the interests of economy, we would like to know whether the sample rolled eye plates submitted to you on the 30th March last are likely to be standardised, and if so, how soon we may expect standardisation.

This type of Spring represents approximately 50% of the total Axle Springs now used on Ph.11 Chassis; and, should the rolled eye be adopted, the saving per chassis would be approximately £2. 0. 0d.

We are wondering whether some special arrangements could be made to hasten through standardisation so that we may take advantage of the reduction in cost of these Axle Springs.
