For the attention of Mr. C.E. Milner.

Dear Sirs,

Cork Seated Tap for Filter on Bentley Chassis.

We thank you for your letter CEM/EGH.7.12.35, and note the approximate cost of proposed petrol tap.

Attached is rough sketch showing petrol filter on frame in relation to the body bracket. The figures have been scaled off a chassis and are therefore only approximate, but will give an idea of the available space for the fitting of a petrol tap.

We are sorry that we cannot give you a definite dimension from the frame side to kick board, but this varies according to the width of body fitted. We have, however, measured up an up-to-date body, the distance from kick board to frame being 3.250", so that if you can fit the tap within that dimension we should be on the safe side.

However, will you please let us have a drawing of your suggestion as quickly as possible, when we will see if it is applicable with all types of bodies.

Apologising for the delay in forwarding this sketch.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
