- 2 - New set of "Champion N.8" Sparking Plugs fitted. Slipper drive dismantled, poundage checked and found low. Thoroughly cleaned out. 2 new "Cotton Ducks" EW.935 fitted. Poundage reset to 18 lbs slipping load at 17 1/2" radius. New Element E.55622 fitted to General Oil Filter. New Coupling Shaft EW.1438 fitted between Dynamo & Water Pump. CLUTCH. Clutch dismantled and examined. One Friction Plate found cracked and the other plate badly scored. Complete New Clutch Assembly fitted to GB.4421A together with new Friction Plate GB.4416. The Friction setting in the centre of the Flexible Plate was increased from 6 lbs.ft to 17 lbs.ft. Clutch Trunnion Ball Race Hoffmann XIS examined and holes in cage elongated by 030". GEARBOX. Gearbox removed from Chassis, oil drained, box cleaned and inspected found O.K., refilled with fresh oil. Servo dismantled for complaint of ineffective brakes, new Friction Plate GB.4421 fitted and new VG.90 Linings GB.4586 fitted. REAR AXLE. Rear Axle removed from Chassis and dismantled for examination due to complaint of noise. Pinion Bearing GB.4080 found to have failed. Another complete Rear Axle Ex. 9.B.V. fitted. This Axle has a strengthened Centre Casing and Long Pinion Housing. PROPELLOR SHAFT. New Shorter Propeller Shaft fitted to suit longer Pinion Housing on Axle. This Propellor Shaft should not be charged for, as the one removed is in good condition and has been placed in stock. | ||
