N/W - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. from Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} copy to Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} WST r6118 Br1/W.22.12.33. Technical - Seizing of Contact Breaker Finger on 20/25 h.p. and 40/50 h.p. Battery ignition. --------------------- With reference to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/MA.20.12.33 we have had many cases of this seizure on 20/25 h.p. chassis, but strange to say none on the 40/50 h.p. although they are identical. I am afraid we cannot give you chassis numbers as this is such a small job we have dealt with it without recording the cases. I should imagine we have had at least twenty to deal with. It has always appeared to us that the bronze bush was too tight in the first place because after we have eased this we have had no case of recurrent trouble. Br.{T. E.
