EAC. 14. & "SS{S. Smith}" REAR AXLE.

With reference to the point recently raised by Derby as to the difficulty of assembling the inner camshaft of the double rear brakes,in spite of the recent instructions we gave permitting a gap between the dust protecting tube and the brake carrier for the insertion of the endwise locating washer, we have looked into the question again and send herewith N. sch. 2588. shewing a proposal, in which the endwise locating washer is increased in length and diameter so that it retains itself in a position making it easy for the camshaft to be pushed through.
