Test report on two heat-treated 'Hot Spot Throttles' checking for distortion and sticking after a test run.

HOT SPOT THROTTLES.

We have tested two of these throttles which have been heat treated before final grinding. The test was half an hour full throttle, 1750 revs. with the valve shut in the down take exhaust pipe. The throttles were allowed to cool down - a second test was then taken.

At no time did the throttles stick and on cooling down were quite free - the figures given below show that no distortion took place. No 1. 2.2497 Body 2.2505
