( 2 ) Improvement in the general noise level but the result is still rather disappointing. It should be noted that the floor is not right clear off the cross as on standard B.V. but rests on soft rubber blocks. 6) Steering Column Mounting. The modified attachment to the scuttle is a great improvement. It consists in effect of mounting it on the instrument-board which has been strengthened accordingly. 7) Rear Window Ventilators. These are now satisfactory. 8) Front Door Check Straps. The doors no longer foul the front wings and are satisfactory. 9) Rubber Shields over lower front edge of rear wings. These are a definite improvement but the appearance should be improved if possible on the production cars. 10) Offside front door handle. This required further attention and is now alright. 11) Front Window Ventilators. The test without these fitted was not satisfactory. They are a great benefit and should be fitted to the production cars. 12) Water Leaks. Leaks occurred in spite of further attention to the seals for the windscreens. Water also blows in at the bottom of the gap between the front and rear doors. This has been demonstrated to Mr. Paulin and is receiving attention. We find that water also blows in at the front edges of the front doors. Rubber seals all round the doors are required. | ||
