To Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}: 25080 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW.3.8.34. FOR DEPOT SHEET. 20/25 HP. Chassis - The New Carburetter. Series D.2. (Commencing Chassis GYD-22 and onwards). Summary of Running & Maintenance Notes. Herewith Depot Sheet for the New Carburetter on the 20/25 - (1) Adjustment. Assuming that the carburetter for some reason requires readjustment, the following procedure should be followed. Before starting the engine, release the lock nut (B) and screw the choke (A) down until it is felt to be seating on the jet (D). Then unscrew the choke, one complete turn. The adjusting screw (F) should then be set in its mid-way position. The engine may then be started, and warmed up. Running the engine light, at approx. 750 R.P.M. the choke (A) should be readjusted for its best position and finally locked up. The tick-over can then be set by utilising the throttle stop provided. Maintenance and Dismantling the Carburetter. If defective running should develop, as evidenced by serious hesitation on pick up, and possibly popping in the carburetter, it is probable that the air valve is sticking slightly. To remove the air valve proceed as follows :- (1) Completely remove the silencer. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
