A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Messrs. Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd., Nightingale Road, D E R B Y. Dear Bill, Thank you very much for getting one of your people to send me a drawing of the Bentley shock absorber, with instructions as to how to vary the load. I think the man who sent it must have been rather nervous that I wanted to increase the load, but actually I wanted to decrease it. I have tried different thicknesses of washers, and have got the car to ride much more comfortably. I wonder if you would let me know to what pressure the shock absorbers are set on your latest models, which are fitted with tele-control? My springing is still not as comfortable as Dick's, and for all ordinary purposes he runs with the control lever in the full soft position. I would like to set my shock absorbers as near as possible to this, so will you please let me know the pressure. Yours ever, [Signature] | ||
