Proposing a new 'B' Sports engine, drawing comparisons to Alfa Romeo and Peregrine engines.

E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and I have schemed a smaller and improved G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 1. which is practically the same as the Alfa Romeo. If Mr. Sidgreaves wishes to achieve the object of being different to RR. town carriage work, and to make a real goer for its size, this is the engine. We shall have some work for Derby very soon. The sizes are the same as the PeregrineExperimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine, and many parts can be the same, or nearly the same, but it will need a new crank-chamber and head. A loose head and liner construction is being arranged. Crankshaft, clutch, con. rods, pistons, valves, liners, dynamo, pumps, (oil and water), promise to be the same. The Board will agree I am sure because it is manifestly a good policy, and the best for the purpose. It is quite an idea to scale down KestrelAero Engine, but it not suitable without extensive alterations, and would not fall into using PeregrineExperimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine parts etc. I am proposing every economy, and simplicity, especially in the chassis. The engine also appears to be extremely light and as economical as any scheme we have yet had, all concentrated in the head. There is not much scope for variation in the Roots type blower.
