21. Range of Shutter Control Insufficient. This point has been taken up with the Drawing Office, whom we understand have agreed to use stronger springs in the control levers at the bottom of the radiator. When these are fitted, I do not think we shall have any trouble in obtaining the range of control required. In any case the cars which have already been despatched and those we are at the moment dealing with, are quite as good as Experimental Cars in this respect. With regard to the second part of the paragraph, this is a point which CWB. raised at a Conference in London when we were all present establishing the standard of Production Cars. I feel that this point is entirely a question of design.

22. Engine Oil Level Indicator. This is a question of design.

23. Engine Protection from road dirt etc. This is an Experimental Department matter. They should be able to give some information on this point.

24. Awkward Bonnet closing. I agree that the steering mechanism pocket does make it a little difficult to close the bonnet, but this is most noticeable when temporary and incorrectly fitted bonnets are in use. I do not feel that we can do any more than we are doing on Bonnets which are being despatched on finished chassis.
