The following are the complaints that have arisen on the first cars in owners' possession :- (1) Steering Joggles. (2) Low speed wobble. (3) Slight clutch jaggers. (4) Valve tappets noisy. (5) Gearbox - second and third coming out of mesh. (6) Hand brake lever ratchet not positive and not holding. (7) Inefficient front braking. (1) Steering Joggles. These have been overcome by reducing the initial set-up of the springs in the rear of the side steering tube. By doing this the directional stability of the Steering has been lessened, but the absence of joggles compensates for this loss. (2) Low Speed Wobble. Wobbles which developed at approximately 20 M.P.H. have been overcome by increasing the frictional load on the cross steering tube ball joints. The adjustment of the cam in the steering box has also had an improved effect on wobbles and joggles. | ||
