Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Confidential. Dear Sirs, Re: 3.B.5 - (9.B.5) When we visited your works on Wednesday last we agreed to the following features of construction on the above body. (1) The boot may remain materially as constructed but we would prefer a more defined junction between it and the rear panel, by a reduction in the radius. (2) Flared-out sill of body to be swept out at front to blend into the tail of the front wing. (3) Sorbo rubber container for tools to be allowed for in boot lid{A. J. Lidsey}, using samples left with you by Mr.Dodd as models. The tyre pump should be housed as illustrated in the photographs which you have already received. (4) Front wings ( and rear) to have helmet extending down to tip of nose. Ford lamps housed under pot in wing. (5) Crown of rear wing to be raised as much as possible and valance deepened to correspond. Yours faithfully FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. HMarney Bailey CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
