X4342V EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T. X4342V X4357V 28th November, 1921. Messrs. C.A.Vandervell & Co: Ltd., Acton, London, W.3. Dear Sirs, Re Small Dynamos & Motors. We have to thank you for your letter ref. WHC/AES of the 18th inst. We have now received the four brushes and the small brush spring for the dynamo, for which many thanks. With regard to further H.M.6 brushes for the dynamo, instead of giving you dimensions, could you kindly send these along over-size, so that we may fit these here, as we think this would perhaps be more satisfactory than giving micrometer dimensions. There is another point in connection with the dynamo to which we would like you to give your attention, in further machines which you may be making up for us, namely, that of providing a suitable terminal cover for the exposed dynamo terminals, particularly for the reason that as the cutout contacts will be connected in the negative earthe [handwritten correction: lead] from the dynamo to the chassis frame, the whole of the dynamo windings will be alive if the charging switch is on and the car not running. We think it highly advisable to have such a cover. Yours faithfully, | ||
