Continuation of a letter From LEYLAND MOTORS LIMITED. -2- Incidentally, the wear figures we have received of chromium plated blocks, in some cases are exceptional. On a recent report from a local operator, on 200,000 miles the wear was in the region of .002 to .003, and with an oil engine at 90,000 miles, the wear was hardly measurable. On the subject of the Rolls type servo brake, unfortunately this job has had to be shelved and nothing further has been done at the present juncture. We are, however, looking further into this in connection with the redesign of a light chassis for overseas use, and I hope in the near future to arrange one vehicle with this form of braking. To date, therefore, I can only advise you that we have done nothing at all with regard to its adoption. Yours sincerely, [Signature] | ||
