SUBJECT.

E.W.Hives Esq.,
Chief Experimental Engineer,
Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
D E R B Y.

Dear Mr.Hives,

Confirming the interview I had with you yesterday, I have arranged for a barrel of Essolube "50" Motor Oil to be delivered to Mr.G.W.Hancock at your experimental section at Chateauroux.

This should be more than sufficient to meet all your requirements for a 15,000 mile test on the conservative consumption basis of 600 miles per gallon for the 20/25 Rolls.

I have also arranged with our Associated Company in France, Messrs L'Economique, to make contact with Mr.Hancock so that there will be no hitch.

If you think it advisable I shall be very pleased to arrange for one of our representatives from this office here to go over to France just before the test is to commence, so as to ensure that everything is quite in order. If you would therefore kindly let me know when you intend to start operations I can then make the necessary arrangements.

Please accept my most grateful thanks for your kind offer to test out Essolube, and also for your courtesy during my somewhat hurried visit.

With kind regards,

Yours very sincerely,
H Stuart Tegner
