Faults and complaints regarding carburetters, instruments, rear anchorage, and petrol tanks.

( 3 ) 8) Carburetters. These were chiefly manufacturing faults, float feed jets loose through the use of fibre washers and through faulty castings. All these faults have been dealt with. 9) Instruments. These complaints are not so prevalent as they were. The improved design for the location of the unit in the tank is giving more consistent results. The noisy drives are still troublesome. 10) The knocks from the rear anchorage has been due to insufficient clearance. It was reported and dealt with by the D/O.{Mr Oldham} 11) Petrol tank leaks from the seam has been reported to the Works, four or five cases were recently reported on the Bentleys. ----------------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/G.W.H. | ||
