I am in receipt of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/M15.3.30. I have carefully considered the point in regard to the second chassis and body having the new type radiator and bonnet and have come to the conclusion that this would certainly be advisable, and I think the suggestion made is a good one, because it will provide a car on which we can see the alteration ourselves.

If we like it we can then get busy on the question of when the modifications can be introduced at home.

Then as regards America it will enable them to see the present standard on the first car, and the modifications on the second car, and enable them also to decide which they like best and which they would like to have on the chassis for America.

I thoroughly agree that we can definitely improve the appearance of the complete car by alteration to the bonnet lines, as for reasons which I need not go into at this juncture we are worse off on Phantom II than on Phantom I for the modern type of body with the straight through line.
