X1263 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW. 30th July, 1936. The S.U. Company Ltd., East Works, Adderley Park, Birmingham 8. For the attention of Mr. Kent. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of July 29th, reference RLK/NK. We shall be glad if you will let us have two pumps similar to the one with which you have supplied us, but with reduced loading. We do not know whether a reduction in loading will permit making the pump with a reduction in overall length, but at present this is slightly greater than that of the standard pump, which rather spoils its interchangeability. We should like to get an endurance test started on this pump as soon as possible, and would therefore be glad if you could urge the matter. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
