To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BJ. X7430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG11.4.27. EAC-7 - STEERING GEOMETRY. X7430 With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M12.3.27. We can alter the car as indicated on N.sch.2377 without very much difficulty. We have been waiting to see whether either N.sch.2375 or 2377 materialised, but as there appears to be no immediate move in either direction, possibly owing to our views on the damped pendulum lever being under consideration, we propose to fit a modified dumb iron to the front spring of this car, which, together with the shortened pendulum lever which we have previously tried, will give us excellent geometry. If the steering proves satisfactory under these conditions, there will be nothing further that we can do until we get a scheme approved by H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
