The standardisation of servo linings for the Bentley and 25/30 chassis and a change in material designation.

| 241 To Ry. c. to Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}1/JH.24.12.36. Bentley and 25/30 Servo. We have recently standardised on the above chassis servos with linings to G.57162 in Ferodo R.A.P. 13 material and secured by keys. Actually the linings which we ran in 10,000 mile test, and which should be used with the above servo, differ slightly from R.A.P. 13 in so far as they are cut from sheet material instead of being radially woven, and they are reinforced by doping in the region of the keys. In view of this difference Messrs. Ferodo wish to call this material S.5775 instead of R.A.D. 13. Will you please alter the details to suit. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/F.J.Hardy. 55775 | ||
