BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} A038 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M29.10.27. EAC.14. PETROL TANK ETC. X. 8470 X. 4038 Herewith we send N.sch.2497 shewing the modifications to the petrol tank, such as the filler brought outside the body, the upright two level device, and the fitting of the K-S distant reading gauge. There is also the distant control for the two level device. It has been found necessary in order to clear the body to slightly alter the friction shock damper, which is also shewn here. Finally the ground clearance has been increased by a modification to the petrol tank sump, and to the exhaust pipe. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
