Re. CARS FITTED WITH WIRELESS.

Referring to your EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}9/MH.{M. Huckerby}21.9.33 we agree that we should carry out tests with one of our experimental chassis as suggested, and we are arranging to obtain a supply of the spark suppressors used by Wireless Set Manufacturers in connection with wireless sets on Cars.

Another point is that we are seriously considering improving the performance of our ignition coil due to the fact that with the use of higher compression ratios on our engines the voltage limit of the coil has been correspondingly reduced, for low speed "pick up" conditions.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has suggested that the new design of coil, which he now has in hand should be made such that its output will be able to deal not only with the high compression effect but also the effect of any suppression put on the coil circuit for the benefit of car radio.
