Uee 6010 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}19/ML. 30.1.41. C.W.Nicholls,Esq., Messrs S.Smith & Sons. Cricklewood Works, Edgware Road, LONDON.N.W.2. Dear Nicholls, Thank you for your letter of the 24th. January. I remember distinctly the underseat heater which you supplied to Mr. Steadman and as a matter of fact have been chasing it for the last three months but it has been sold in a car to a customer and we cannot get it back. From the tests it appeared to be very satisfactory, but for warming the occupants of a car I do not think a long pipe from the blower which is suitable for warming the inside of the car, to the wind-screen, is the most efficient method of defrosting because high velocity is wanted for de-misting and relatively low velocity for air circulating in the body. If you have an American underseat heater which you could loan to us we would like to have a look at it. I think it should fit into any of our limousines. Yours sincerely, | ||
