To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8490 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG17.1.27 PHANTOM EXHAUST CUTOUT. X7490 With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M.5.1.27. The new PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I exhaust cutout to N.sch.2216 has been standardised but it will be 2 or 3 months before it comes through on the cars. The proposal in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/LG13.1.27 is a modification to the existing cutout mechanism. On cars which are being sent out, the controls are adjusted so that the spring on the toggle mechanism keeps the butterfly valve tight. This means that the spring which is on the silencer is doing no useful work. It is therefore proposed to delete it. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
