3. Flywheel & Clutch. Pressure Plate, signs of overheating, and distortion on face. Distortion occurs between withdrawal lugs, max. distortion .010 on inside diameter, .006 on outside dia. Flywheel distorted on face, max. distortion .005. Clutch Operating Shaft - needle bearings tight in sleeve. Rear Engine Support - signs of rubber separating from metal. Engine Coupling. Fabric Coupling damaged on outer diameter due to fouling on cruciform member (due to accident). Rear Brake Equalizing Gear (Hand) Lower needle roller track pitted and rusty. Two rivets sheared on brake rope arm, due to accident. Rear Brake Intermediate Shaft. General condition good. Rear Brake Equalizing Gear (Foot) Indented on Ball and Needle Roller track. Prop. Shaft & Universal Joint. Flange sheared off Split Bearing due to accident. Flange for retaining nut bent due to accident. Housing for Trunnion bearings cracked in two places on outside diameter, also fouling marks in V joints of coupling (This has been dealt with) Front Brake Equalizing Mechanism. General condition good. Offside Lever on frame distorted due to accident. Nearside Lever on frame slightly distorted. Front Brake Intermediate Shaft. Needle Rollers tight in bore. Note - Latest scheme calls for Oilite bush. Servo Countershaft. Signs of seizure on sleeve due to steel and steel bearing. - This has been reported to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and Oilite bushes suggested. | ||
